To saltwater hot tubbers. Why would you care if the price of ruthenium goes up? Ruthenium is a key component in the electrolysis process. The price does not matter if you are in the US, China or anywhere else. It’s like oil prices. The only way to reduce the cost is to use less.

We are committed to using the same quality material we have been using. Here are the specs. Coating suited for swimming pool electrochlorination. Design lifetime min. 10,000 hrs @ 329-493 A/m2, min. 70 °F, 1.5-2.0 g/l NaCl, polarity reversal each 3-24 hours.

Please note that the design lifetime of 10k hours is under ideal conditions and will vary but will still last longer than the Chinese material that is typically rated for 3k hours.This is also the material we just started using this year that is not adversely affected by phosphate remover. Our solution for helping to manage our pricing is by not coating the outside facing surface of our plates which has zero effect on chlorine production.
